I cant get sound on my computer and it comes up "no mixer hardware available"?
what does this mean?
I just bought new speakers and they didn't come with a CD, so i just plugged them in and...nothing.
I think this PC used to have sound on it and when i did the troubleshooting instructions this is all that comes up.
I dont have the little volume icon appearing either
Any suggestions would be sooo helpful as I am getting SO frustrated by this!!
When you say "I think this PC used to have sound on it" has it actually got a sound card fitted?
Go to Start ► Run ► [and type] dxdiag ► OK
When the DX Diagnostics comes up, click on Sound. It will give you all the details of the Sound system and if there are any problems, You can also do various sound tests as well.
