How do you make Fruity Loops studio not loop a beat, and just let you create a beat for a whole song?

You need to learn about the relationship in the patterns and playlist.

The patterns can be strung together in the playlist when using "song mode".

Basically you will create Pattern 1, 2, 3, 4 etc and then determin how they play back in the playlist.

For example, you put a drum track in Pattern 1 and 2 and a bassline in Pat 3 and a lead melody in pat 4... In the playlist you tell Pat 1 and 3 to play together twice and then add Part 4 once and then play pattern 2 etc...

It's harder to explain in words what would be simple to see.
