What equipment do I need to attach a Synthesizer to an amplifier and how do I do it?
I'm purchasing a Korg RADIAS and I don't have any experience with amplifiers. I don't know what wires are necessary, nor do I know how to use them. I need a recommendation for an amp and some help on how to attach the keyboard to the amp so I can hear what I play without a computer. Any help?
Any amplifier (or stereo, or studio monitor, etc) will do. You will need at least one 1/4" mono-channel TRS patch cable (for mono...or two for stereo, etc). I actually use a little Roland Microcube next to my laptop when I'm away from my home studio so I can hear the actual tones being produced w/o headphones. Best of luck!
