I play FLUTE in the marching band and constantly find myself out of tune with my section!
So, is the Korg TM-40 a good tuner for the FLUTE??????????????

If you are not taking private lessons with a degreed, professional flutist - then get some right away. They can find out WHY your are so out of tune - and FIX you. Have you checked the cork position recently? Slide the end of the cleaning rod into the headjoint - and look for the mark to be exactly in the center of the embouchure hole. If it is NOT - then that is one big reason you are out of tune. They we look at your embouchure. But this cannot be done over the Internet - you need a fine teacher LIVE to do this - and probably, NOT your band director. Or - you can drive on over here Friday morning . . .
