How would I get a Fender Rhodes Bass sound for the bass keys on a Key station pro 88?
Want to play "The Doors " cover tunes. I heard you could divide the keyboard into sections with Pro Tools. If anyone knows exactly what program I need to get please let me know. And I don't know about how to get the Rock bass sound for the Bass keys. I heard Manzarek used a Fender Rhodes bass sound, I don't know if that comes with Pro Tools or not.Thanks for the Help!!!
It may not come with the correct sound at all.
You may be able to get a "Rhodes piano" sound, but the Manczarek bass sound is from a seperate piece of equipment Fender developed after Leo's not being satisfied with the lower register of a normal Rhodes.
You may already know that... sorry if I've contributed nothing.
You may be able to fake out that sound, however.
I'm not sure whether the Rhodes Bass had just softer tines inside or strings or what, but you may be able to alter an "electric bass" sound-- probably some very slight overdrive, with high mids and some treble cut off-- to do the trick.
