How I can transfer music from an audio cassette to my pc?
I am using a Tascam 414 recording studio carries a cassette, but I want that the transfer to my PC to burn to a cd, which etc.should inputs I have on my pc, any help would be helpful.
Since a stereo system or a player and a cassette or CD, you can take the RCA outputs on PC sound card. RCA outputs are usually left and right outputs of music, but can be labeled AUX - really depends on the device. There should be an input jack for a 3.5 mm jack on your PC sound card, so using a cable like this connect the cassette player to your PC: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu ... This is taking an analog output of your cassette player at an input digital on your PC. To record the music you need a piece of software as CDWave (which is free): http://www.milosoftware.com/en/index.php ... Connect your player cassette to your PC using the cable above, start CDWave and start recording, then press play on the cassette player and play the tape during the time you want / need. CDWave shows the waveform of the music so you can see where the tracks start and end and you can edit the file into separate tracks. Save these, but before adding them to iTunes from.WAV convert them to MP3 files with some free software as http://www.xilisoft.com/audio-converter .... Then, in iTunes go to File> Add to Library and add your MP3 files back to iTunes - and all for a few pounds for the cable.
